This page provides an overview of keyboard shortcuts that can help you use your desktop and applications more efficiently.

Window Manager Shortcuts

To view and change the window manager shortcuts, go to MenuSettingsWindow ManagerKeyboard.... These settings can also be viewed and set using the settings editor in the channel xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts/xfwm4/default.

Application Shortcuts

To view and change the window manager shortcuts, go to MenuSettingsKeyboardApplication Shortcuts.... These settings can also be viewed and set using the settings editor in the channel xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts/commands/custom.

For specific applications, holding down the Alt key will highlight the letter to be used in combination with the Alt key for a particular action. For example, in most applications, holding down the Alt-F keys simultaneously will result in the File dropdown menu to open and display available actions.

For shortcuts using exo-open, these setting can be modified using the Preferred Applications component.
